Go for Launch with It’s Rocket Science!
Presented in partnership with Brisbane City Council as part of their Chillout school holiday programs, we invite you to join in the ultimate aerospace STEM adventure.
Young rocket engineers will discover the world of rockets, flight and space. Build and launch your very own water rocket to altitudes of 60 metres in the air!
Each child can creatively build their rocket with sustainable materials and enjoy multiple opportunities to launch their rocket while learning flight and space science.
This activity has been funded by Brisbane City Council as part of Council’s Active and Healthy program.

Do parents/guardians need to be present?
Yes, adult guardians need to stay for the activity – embrace the fun of rocket science with your child!
What to bring?
- If you can, BYO 1.25 L recycled fizzy drink bottle.
- A hat
- Apply sunscreen
- Water bottles

It’s Rocket Science operates under a COVID Safe Plan for outdoor education providers. Adults are required to sanitise yours and your children’s hands and maintain 1.5m social distancing. If unwell, please stay at home.
