Are the activities safe?
Safety is our profession and we have made every effort to minimise risk. Supervision of your children is your responsibility, where participants engage in activities at their own risk. Instruction in safety procedures and safe handling of equipment will be provided by the facilitator prior to field experiments. All workshops are covered by our Public Liability Insurance. We have an Activity Provider Risk assessment and all our facilitators and technicians are qualified to identify, reduce or eliminate potential risk of harm to all participants and will continue to be closely evaluated. We provide special considerations for participants with medical, behavioural or special needs who require additional assistance or support to ensure their participation is enjoyable.
WHAT IS YOUR SERVICE AREA?
Generally, our service area is Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Ipswich & Toowoomba, however, we do coordinate travel nationwide so give us a call for more information.
WHAT IF WE HAVE MORE THAN ONE GROUP PARTICIPATING IN AN INCURSION?
We can accommodate multiple workshops for an incursion and can assist with scheduling throughout the booking process. It may require more than one facilitator for the day.
WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM GROUP SIZE?
The maximum group size is 30 children per session, and we recommend separate sessions for larger centres. We try to keep the ratio of supervising adults to children at around 1:15.
HOW DO WE PAY?
An email confirmation and invoice is provided at the time of booking and our terms are payment in full within seven (7) days of an incursion, via direct bank transfer is preferred unless stated otherwise. All incursions requiring travel outside Brisbane Metropolitan area (i.e. rural, regional, remote or interstate) our invoice terms are payment upfront and in full within seven (7) of booking.
All pricing is exclusive of G.S.T. and an additional travel fee may apply to your service location, where we endeavour to use the most economical and time-efficient route of travel to your location. Associated travel costs, including tolls, will apply if the route determined by a team member incurs such a cost for the purposes of providing you with a booked workshop.
What is your cancellation policy?
A cancellation within 3 weeks of a workshop will be charged at 40% of the invoiced fee. Any cancellations received less than 7 days before the booking date will be charged at 80% of the invoiced fee. Absolutely no refunds will be offered for cancellations made less than 24 hours within a workshop, or where an incursion is deemed to have begun and is, for all intents and purposes, underway. The full booking fee will be charged.
Where bookings requiring travel outside the Brisbane Metropolitan area (i.e. rural, regional, remote or interstate) are confirmed, any cancellation from booking will be charged at 50% of the invoiced fee. Cancellations less than 14 days or less will not be eligible for any refund.
WHEN DO YOU SUPPLY BLUE CARD, CERTIFICATE OF CURRENCY AND RISK ASSESSMENT DETAILS?
We will email all relevant documents for the workshop as required by legislation once the booking process is commenced.
WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?
In the event of wet weather, the workshop maybe relocated, postponed or cancelled. If an alternative date for rescheduling is not agreed, then a full refund will be made for any workshop payments. It’s Rocket Science Adventures will not be responsible for any cost other than the workshop payment.

Yes, we welcome all ages, fitness levels and advocate inclusive education. Please email us ahead of time of relevant needs and we will endeavour to provide satisfaction.
